Parking in Meritxell Avenue - Andorra la Vella

Avenida Meritxell is one of the main streets in the small capital city of Andorra la Vella. This road crosses the whole of Andorra from east to west, starting at Plaza Rebés, in the city centre, and ending at Calle de la Unión, in Escaldes-Engordany. Between Calle Bisbe Príncep Iglesias and Calle Fiter i Rossell, the street is without a doubt the busiest in town, because of its central location and its wide range of shops and other commercial premises. The street is named after the patron saint of Andorra, Our Lady of Meritxell, whose image can be seen in the church at Canillo.

The street is lined with large blocks of flats, with numerous shops and businesses on the ground floor. While there are commercial premises all along this street, it’s in the upper section that it is busiest. Andorra la Vella is famous and very popular for its shopping, so the importance of this street is even greater.

Nothing is missing: designer clothing at low prices, trendy first-class restaurants, etc. There is also a long list of hotels, bars and eateries of all kinds, as well as entertainment venues. Furthermore, Avenida Meritxell is home to the main branches of almost all the country’s banks.

Because it’s the most popular street in the area, finding somewhere to park on Avenida Meritxell is no easy matter. If you wish, you can park your car in the Saba public car park at the end of the street, on Avenida Pau Casals.
