Listed as a Spanish Cultural and Historical Heritage Site, the Real Maestranza de Caballería bullring in Seville is so much more than a simple bullring: it is the official venue for bullfights in the city of Seville.

Built in 1733 on the hill of Baratillo, it’s one of the longest-standing bullrings in Spain and the first ever oval-shaped one. Designed in a late Baroque style, one of its most outstanding features is the main entrance, flanked with two impressive turrets, which makes this bullring one of the most beautiful in Spain. It is definitely one of the most important tourist attractions in the city and one of its most visited sites.

The inner sections of the building include an infirmary that provides prompt treatment for injuries, stables for the animals and a chapel. But La Maestranza is a lot more than this, because around it is a series of statues of local matadors: a homage to the art of bullfighting. The most famous one is probably that of Curro Romero.

The bullring has three access points on Paseo Cristóbal Colón, Calle Adriano and Calle Antonia Díaz. You can’t miss it, because it’s close to La Giralda and only 9 minutes away from Seville Cathedral.

If you wish, you can park your vehicle in one of our Saba car parks. One of them is close to Paseo de Cristóbal Colón, while the other is very near Plaza de Armas on Calle Marqués de Paradas, and is open 24 hours a day.
