The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium is the home ground of Sevilla Fútbol Club. Located right in the centre of Nervión, this stadium is one of the most popular places for tourists to visit. It was officially opened on 7 September 1958, with a friendly between Sevilla FC and Real Jaén, although the first official fixture was between Sevilla FC and Real Betis Balompié.

The stadium has undergone two major refurbishments, the first of them in 1982, for the World Cup that was held in Spain. That special year has been commemorated at the ground with a mosaic on the main façade. The second refurbishment was carried out in 1998 to comply with new UEFA regulations that stipulated that stadiums had to have seating capacity only and no standing room. As a result, this stadium saw its capacity reduced from 50,000 to 42,000.

Important events have been hosted here, such as the 1982 World Cup, with a match between Brazil and the USSR. Four years later, the stadium was the venue for the European Cup final between Steaua Bucharest and FC Barcelona.

The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium is open to the public and includes a museum with an exhibition on the life and times of Seville's club. The complex can be visited on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings and the entrance fee includes a guided tour of every part of the stadium, such as the presidential box and its anteroom and even the players’ tunnel.

The ground is located on Calle Sevilla Fútbol Club and you can get there from Calle Luis de Morales or Calle José Luís de Casso. On match days, we recommend that you park your car in the closest Saba car park at Sevilla–Santa Justa Train Station on Calle José Laguillo.
