Whether you’re a football fan or not, Santiago Bernabéu stadium will undoubtedly leave you speechless. The complex is owned by Real Madrid Club de Fútbol and is situated on Paseo de la Castellana, in the Chamartín district.

The stadium was officially opened in 1947 and has seating capacity for almost 81,000 fans. It is named after the legendary former player who was President of the club from 1943 to 1978. The highest governing body in football, UEFA, has ranked the stadium as an elite stadium, the very highest category.

The stadium continues to host first division matches, as well as Copa del Rey and Champions’ League fixtures. Matches are also played here by the Spanish national side. As well as football matches, the stadium is also used for concerts and other events. It has 245 VIP boxes, a museum and four restaurants.

We recommend that you visit the interior of Bernabéu stadium because you’ll be able to walk around the place like a VIP: see the presidential box, visit the fantastic facilities, look at the changing rooms, go to the museum to find out everything you want to know about the history of this incredibly successful club.

If you want to visit the area and you need somewhere to park, you’ll find two of Saba’s public car parks nearby: one on Calle Raimundo Fernández Villaverde where it crosses number 77, Paseo de la Castellana (with special rates on Real Madrid match days) and the other at number 100 Paseo de la Castellana.
